Parking pain (5)

People are known to break rules and societal norms, that’s why motorists were asked if they would be inclined to “cheat” even if they knew they would get away with it.

In addition, motorists were asked what they thought were the worst parking sins: from parking in disabled and/or restricted parking spaces, to double parking and leaving too much space.

  • Overall, roughly half of all respondents would not pay for parking if they thought they could get away with it.
  • Taking up 2 spaces is a greater sin (about twice as bad, 46% to 24% respectively) compared to incorrect use of a family or disabled parking space.

Interesting to note that more than half of Germans have not paid for parking and got away with it.
