The direct connection to both buses and trains makes it a key mobility hub in the heart of Chartres. Added-value services such as a car wash service, car rental and a dynamic space-by-space guidance system enhance convenience and optimise the parking experience.

With its sleek and contemporary architecture, the parking facility blends seamlessly into the urban fabric of Chartres. Every detail reflects Q-Park's high standards of quality and comfort, from blue-toned lighting in ventilation zones to tiled pedestrian areas and transparent elevators for greater visibility and security. Equipped with energy-efficient LED lighting and a high-performance ventilation system, the car park offers a safe, comfortable, and well-lit environment at all times.

Special attention was paid to the facade, designed as a tribute to the stained-glass windows of Chartres Cathedral, reinforcing the cultural identity and visual harmony of the site. The glass panels create a strong visual signature which is visible from the train station platforms.

We have made optimal use of the underground space for the car park, thus freeing up surface areas for other urban uses, contributing to a more open and multifunctional cityscape.

Innovative design and sustainable materials

At Q-Park, we chose a column-free design with 15-meter spans, placing structural elements at the back of parking spaces to simplify parking manoeuvres and enhance user comfort.

The parking facility layout is designed for easy access and efficient traffic circulation, even during peak periods:

• 2 access and 2 exit ramps, to facilitate flow;

• 2.50 m angled spaces, for easy and comfortable parking;

• 4 exit barriers for smooth departure after events.

For this prestige project, we carefully selected high-quality materials, and sourced these locally where possible. Quality materials ensure long-term durability, low maintenance, and enhance the overall aesthetic. The quartz-treated concrete flooring offers a clean, resistant finish while reducing the need for resin coatings, combining practicality with sustainability.

Comprehensive parking services

The parking facility provides 1,085 parking spaces, including standard spaces and spaces reserved for motorcycles, bicycles, and electric vehicles. Effective signage streamlines and simplifies vehicle traffic within the structure, minimising the time spent finding a parking space or exiting. The one-way parking aisles with 115° angled parking spaces, ensuring smooth traffic flow.

Twenty parking spaces for people with reduced mobility (PRMs) are available near elevators and pedestrian exits, guaranteeing optimal accessibility. The car park is equipped with video surveillance, night surveillance, sprinklers, and defibrillators, ensuring the safety of users and their vehicles. Services such as pre-booking, car rental and automatic number plate recognition (ANPR), coupled with various payment options including Télépéage, the French electronic toll collection system, enhance the user experience.
