Q-Park France recognised for energy reduction

Q-Park France won the second edition of the CUBE Paris La Défense competition organised to encourage businesses in Paris La Défense to reduce their energy consumption.
Remarkable results
Thanks to the team effort to make the parking structures energy efficient, energy consumption has dropped in all 14 of Q-Park’s parking facilities in Paris La Défense. Savings of at least 20% have already been recorded at each parking facility, with a saving of up to 50% in one year at the Corolles car park.
To make such remarkable savings, Q-Park converted all lighting equipment to LED lighting. Other energy saving measures were also introduced such as, lower light intensity on the parking decks, brighter light in pedestrian areas, and smart lighting controls to turn lighting off when an area is not in use. In addition, Q-Park France implemented the IVPark Energy tool to help identify areas for further energy savings.
Q-Park helps build the first net zero business district
Paris La Défense is committed to reducing its CO2 emissions by a factor of 2 by 2030. And Q-Park France is proud to contribute to this process by:
supporting mobility with low or zero emission car parks, providing EV charging, secure bicycle parking, and encouraging car rental and car sharing;
adopting equipment which has a lower impact on the environment and is adapted to climate change, such as car cleaning installations that don’t use water.
These efforts are all part of the measures Q-Park initiated after taking on the long-term management of the Paris La Défense car parks on 1 January 2022, including joining the Paris La Défense CSR group and signing the Paris La Défense Charter of Commitments.
A showcase for Q-Park's commitment throughout France
Q-Park France is committed to sustainable business practices for its entire organisation. Not only at its headquarters in Issy Les Moulineaux, but also in the more than 200 parking facilities operated in France.
Q-Park has already achieved concrete results: energy consumption has been reduced by almost 30% over the last two years in nearly all its car parks. And being ISO 14001 certified since 2019, Q-Park France is committed to limiting its impact on the environment.
Michèle Salvadoretti, Managing Director of Q-Park France, comments: “We're very proud of this award. It recognises our efforts and encourages us to do even better. At La Défense, as elsewhere in France, we are committed to working alongside public authorities and other private parties to meet the major challenges of our time. For Q-Park, a car park is more than just a place to park cars, it's a facility for the region, serving residents, visitors and businesses, and contributes to the mobility transition”.
