Ramps of St. Antonius Hospital car park collapsed. Cause still unknown.

Last night, the ramps of the Q-Park St. Antonius Hospital car park near the hospital of the same name in Nieuwegein collapsed. After intensive investigation with search dogs and drones in the parking facility, the Utrecht Safety Region determined last night that there were no casualties. The Dutch Safety Board (OVV) has started an exploratory investigation into the cause of the incident today.

Q-Park, the parking operator, and Primevest, the owner of this car park, are extremely shocked by the situation. We are relieved that visitors and staff remained unharmed. We would like to express our sincere thanks to the emergency services for their quick and professional response. The cause is currently unknown. We are cooperating fully with the investigation.

The safety of our visitors and employees of the hospital and Q-Park is paramount. Therefore, the parking facility remains completely closed until further notice and access is prohibited. Our first priority is to all visitors and employees of the hospital. Season ticket holders whose car is still in the car park will receive communication about this by e-mail.
